Study Abroad
From January to August 2018, I went to the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona for an exchange program. During my experience, I traveled a lot through Europe and went to amazing places. I learned a lot from my courses at the Univerisity and had a great time sharing with students from many nationalities. I landed in one of the pick moments from the 'Independencia Movement' that was happening in Barcelona. It was enlightening to share with real Catalans their experiences and thoughts about the independent movement that was happening there. As a political science major, it was an excellent opportunity to have done this exchange program at that time. I took four courses, two in Spanish (International Relations Theory and Europen Politics) and two in English (International Protection of Human Rights and International Organizations). It was very challenging, given that the grading system is way different than here in the US, but I still did good and grew vastly from those courses. I loved Barcelona, it is a beautiful city full of culture and happy people, besides the angry independentistats that also like to drink beer and share stories.
